This month's theme
This box includes four activities that explore the creative ways humans have travelled through the world, from land and sea to the skies above. Through hands-on engineering, imaginative play and experimentation, children will discover how transport has evolved over time, how nature has inspired our inventions, and how creative thinking can help us dream up entirely new ways to move through the world.
CLAIM YOUR TRAVELLER'S BOXExplore the incredible ways humans have invented to travel through the skies. Children will become engineers as they design and build their own parachute, with a very special cherry tomato passenger on board! They'll experiment with different designs, testing and making improvements to see if they can land their passenger safely on the ground. A playful introduction to gravity, air resistance and creative problem-solving.
Discover how humans have travelled across land, from horses and carts to the vehicles we use today. Children will design and build their own car using simple materials, then take their cherry tomato passenger on an adventure across different terrains. They'll experiment with wheels, balance and movement, discovering how creative engineering helps us overcome obstacles and explore the world.
Travel back to a time when humans relied on boats and the wind to explore distant places. Children will use natural and craft materials to engineer their own sailboat, then put their creation to the test on water. They'll experiment with wind, floating and balance as they work to transport their cherry tomato passenger safely to the other side. A hands-on exploration of how nature helps us move through the world.
Discover the weird and wonderful ways humans have invented to move around the world, many inspired by nature itself! Children will create their own transport-themed charades game, drawing or writing different ways to travel before bringing them to life through movement and imagination. A playful way to explore creative thinking, communication and the incredible diversity of human inventions.
Every box includes a children's meditation script designed to nurture mindfulness and connection. This month's walking meditation invites children to slow down and notice the incredible work their feet do to carry them through the world. Through gentle movement and moments of stillness, children will explore balance, body awareness and the simple sensations of travelling on their own two feet.
Plant seeds of intention together with seasonal spray-free, non GMO carrot seeds for the garden.
