EXPLORE THIS MONTH'S SOUNDS OF NATURE BOX
This box includes four hands-on activities that invite children to slow down, tune in, and explore the rich soundscape of the natural world. Through playful listening, creating, building, and discovering, children are encouraged to notice the sounds that surround them, strengthen their focus, and experience the simple joy of being fully present in nature.
RAIN & RHYTHM
Create music inspired by nature using simple, everyday materials. In this activity, children will make a rain stick and a spinning drum that mimic the sounds of falling rain and rhythmic beats. As they build and play, they'll explore how different materials create unique sounds and discover how music can express moods and ideas.

WATER SOUND GARDEN
Discover the soothing sounds of water in nature. From gentle drips to soft splashes, water can create calming and curious rhythms all around us. In this activity, children will build a water sound garden and explore how different objects change the way water moves and sounds. As they play, they'll experiment with pouring, dripping, and swishing to create their own water music.
While exploring, wonder:

SOUNDS LIKE FUN
Explore the many sounds we can create using our voices, bodies, and imagination. Sounds can help us express feelings, tell stories, and connect with others. In this playful activity, children will act out different sounds using movement and actions while others guess what they are. As they play, they'll discover new ways to create sounds and how these sounds can change how they feel.

HIDDEN SOUNDS
Every place is filled with sounds waiting to be discovered. When we slow down and listen, we can notice the small, often hidden sounds around us. In this activity, children will create a sound map of their outdoor space, marking where different sounds are heard. As they explore, they'll become more aware of their surroundings and discover sounds they might usually miss.
